FAQ

  • What program do you use? I work in Procreate on an iPad Pro and use Photoshop for formatting and touchups.

  • What brushes do you use? My go-toes are brush packs from Max Ulichney (@maxpacks) and Vivibrush (@vvberger). I like the 6B default Procreate brush as well!

  • When will your commissions open? I don't have a schedule for commission openings but when I'm available, I will do multiple announcements on both Instagram and Twitter. My base prices start at $50 and you can expect to spend $100+ on a rat portrait.

  • Can I get a tattoo of your art? Feel free. Any commissioned art is off-limits. Consider sending a tip my way on Ko-Fi as a "tattoo ticket" and I can provide written permission to your artist.

  • Can I trace or use your art as reference? Copying is normal for the learning process but not everything you make should be made to share. Consider copying or tracing for the sake of learning; don't present it as your own work. Never ever edit my work and pass it off as yours.

  • Can I repost your art? I always prefer to post my own art, please share links if you can instead.

Isamu Rats is another fantastic resourceAdopt in pairs, do not raise rats solo, research new and current care information. Be prepared to handle unexpected vet costs. Rats do not live long and for many people, the hardest thing about owning them is "the goodbye." They are worth every moment--but do not be selfish in your decisions. Adopt when you are ready for the commitment so you have no regrets!

What you can and can't do

  • Rates are subject to change, even for repeat customers. Thanks for understanding.

  • Payment through Paypal invoices only.

  • No full refunds—once I’ve received payment, I will only refund for the value of work not yet completed.

  • I retain all ownership rights to images produced for commissions. This means I may post them publicly, alter them, or use them on my site and social media. This does not mean I own your characters.

  • I will not draw NSFW content, and reserve the right to refuse commissions based on subject matter or intent.

  • You may post commissioned work to social media so long as you use the watermarked “sharable” version provided, with credit.

  • You may get tattoos of my artwork so long as it's not art made for someone else. If you want express permission, I take Ko-Fi donations and will send a high res file directly to your tattoo artist.

  • You may not ask another artist to alter, “finish,” or otherwise use my design without my consent. If I find that you have done this, I won’t work for you again and will not refer you to other artists.

  • Commissioned work may not be reproduced (i.e. printed and given to multiple people by the commissioner) without permission.

  • Commissioned work is for personal use only. If you intend to use something commercially or for professional branding, this needs to be arranged beforehand and is subject to commercial rates.
